Brand
To create a brand identity for a Youth Employment Hub based in the Library of Birmingham that appeals to 16-19 age group looking for jobs and training. The brand needed to feel informal, cool, stylish and approachable, moving away from traditional or corporate aesthetics.
The project included the design of on site displays, leaflets, and a social media marketing campaign to promote the Youth Hub and its services. Concepts were presented at key stages to the Youth Hub board and target audience group, with structured feedback sessions, discussions, this collaborative approach ensured the final logo, colour palette, and brand identity authentically reflected the needs and preferences of its audience.

Campaign
The concept was developed by considering the everyday behaviours and motivations of young people. With phones constantly in hand and selfies a natural part of self-expression, I explored how this culture could be positively connected to employment and aspiration.
Inspired by the rise of online influencers, the idea centred on “taking a selfie at work” — reframing work as something to be proud of and shared. This led to the core message: Influence your future — encouraging young people to take control, build confidence, and pursue a job they genuinely love.
The concept helped position the Youth Employment Hub as modern, relatable, and aspirational, using familiar digital behaviours to inspire real-world opportunities. Worked with a number of people that featured in the campaign. Once the campaign idea was agreed, the photoshoot and art direction were developed to bring the concept to life. Visual direction focused on authentic, confident portrayals of young people in work-related settings, using a selfie-style aesthetic to reflect familiar social media behaviour. This approach ensured the imagery felt relatable, aspirational, and aligned with the overall brand tone.
